....continuing the workflow from the initial setup you completed in the previous step. Now that you have chosen to add an "Individual" as a new shareholder, you can complete the process from the below steps

if you are recreating your share register with existing shareholder informastion, please jump over to the "How do I add a legacy shareholder" section below

https://support.intersectconnect.com/en/support/solutions/articles/153000219346-how-do-i-add-legacy-shareholder-information-to-my-register-

Step 1: Add the new shareholder

You will be required to enter the individual's ID number, after which the platform will run a live search from 2 primary sources:

1. The Intersect database itself, or if the individual does not exist in our system as of yet,

2. A live external data search from CIPC, Home Affairs, Experian, and other credit bureau data.

If the shareholder that you are adding, is an existing Intersect user, you can simply toggle the "Existing User" button and select the relevant individual. The system will pre-populate all the data fields we already have saved. Quite nifty, right?

Step 2: Choose a type of share

You will now see a summary of the company's overall share structure. Navigate to the bottom of the page and from the drop-down menu, you can confirm your share type.

Step 3: Complete the details of the share transaction

Now that Intersect knows which share type you are adding, you can proceed to complete the amount and value of the shares being added. Pay special attention when choosing the date that the shares are added. You have a nifty tickbox available for 1st-time shares, that will default to the company's incorporation date if toggled.

Result: Updated shareholding dashboard

Your newly added shareholder has now been added to the ownership dashboard, with live links to his/her share certificate, as well as an Edit function through which their personal particulars can be managed.
